T.T 26SS LOT.309 BUCKLE-BACKED JACKET
Modeled after Lot.703 Denim Jacket, this jacket features a pared-down design with only a single patch pocket and single stitches to hold the pleats on the front. All details from the 1920s were replicated by faithfully following the methods from the time. The flat silhouette is characterized by horizontally attached sleeves and flat shoulder lines. The fabric is a jacquard known as Tupelo Madras Chambray, which gained popularity in the 1930s for work shirts. Originating in Tupelo—also known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley—the fabric was considered quite fancy for its time. There’s even an anecdote that Elvis’s mother, who worked in a sewing factory, may have sewn shirts using this exact cloth. A degreased washer finish gives the fabric a dry touch. For the warp, sulfur-dyed gray yarn and indigo-dyed blue yarn are used, allowing the garment to develop distinct fading and character with wear. Designed to be worn as a shirt, the jacket is finished with shell buttons. The buttons and buckle, marked with original engravings, are all made of iron, which is uncoated to produce aged beauty over time.
